About

The Cork Cricket Academy was founded in 2009 by former Irish International Ted Williamson. Ted is a current ECB Level 3 coach and Tutor and works with all age groups within his club Harlequins. He also coaches the Munster U13’s and 17’s in their respective Interprovincial competitions. He is currently the Ireland U17 Head Coach and an Assistant to the Ireland U19 side.

The aim of the Academy is to introduce the game of cricket to as many children as possible within schools all over Cork. Children of all age groups are catered for, ranging from junior infants to secondary school. All aspects of cricket are taught by the Academy’s coaches, in a safe, fun, leaner centred and competitive environment. Their individual development is furthered by letting the children express themselves in blitz’s and schools competitions which are run throughout the year. Finally a schools/club link is identified and offered for each child to enable them to continually improve as they grow.
